How does it affect the immune system?
Research shows that active glutathione primes white cells such as natural killer (NK) and T cells, your body's front-line infection fighters within the immune system. GSH-enhanced T cells are able to produce more infection-fighting substances, controlling both bacterial and viral infections. Glutathione helps clean the liver. The liver is a member of the immune system having immune cells largely in an activated state. In addition to acute phase reaction of the organism, the liver has a role in the adaptive/specific immune response. These functions include retardation of the T and B lymphocytes and the defense against harmful pathogens. It's important to note that the liver's job is to detoxify the body.
